Thank you for taking the time to read my work. I know there are many pieces dividing your time, energy, and focus as you navigate our medium community.

I believe in guiding each other through this puzzle of popularity.

In a previous piece, I suggested you read more unloved writing than you write by checking out and applauding the most recent pieces in tags that interest you instead of the default top pieces.

Why bother getting the attention of the millions of medium members who are not top writers?

The most recent, overlooked pieces are usually by newer folks who don’t do a lot of reading on the site. They are still in the maker stage instead of the community stage.

Therefore, the few pieces they read get more of their membership fee than from a person who reads hundreds of pieces a day to maintain high readership.

And, I love discovering new talent.

So, in hopes to get you participating, please leave a response with a story link to another medium author you enjoy.
