In essence, the music festival known as Coachella takes over pop culture for almost the entire month of April. Magazines such as Teen Vogue and Paper Magazine, not to mention youtubers, spend the entire week before Coachella hyping it up which brings the event press and action. These influencers are also generating revenue by promoting the festival. Additionally, youtubers and models have brand deals with companies that send them to Coachella to promote their products. Blog posts and vlogs are also posted the week after the festival so those that missed out can still live the Coachella experience through others. Ultimately, the role of social media in journalism can be widely seen through this event recognized as one of the biggest music festivals in the world.
