Picking Your Year for the Quarantine

This question occurred to me last night: if a whole year of quarantine were inevitable but you were lucky to be able to choose which year this happens throughout your life, which year would you choose for it to happen?

Recent virtual meeting and practices of remote work gave me some observations for the different kinds of activities and requirements to do the quarantine, at different walk of life. Now, there are a few range of options to choose from: toddler? school age? quarter-life? the sandwich generation? after retirement? At school age, you might need to sit eight hours each day listening to the online courses from school, with your parents as the part-time tutors (inspired by this YouTube video [1] that interviews two schoolchildren in Shanghai). Quarter-life as I am now, you might be working remotely at home, trying to organize well your work schedule with frequent zoom meetings, weekly/daily checking-ins, etc.

Below is a shape of happiness for regular walk of life. How would the shape be different, under the condition of having a year of quarantine?

To be continued…
